			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Almost universally, people that need to lose a few extra pounds set out on a quest to &#8216;lose weight&#8217;. Nobody ever talks about what kind of weight should be lost, and the effect of this is the dreaded Yo Yo effect.</p>
<p>You start out and right out of the gate you&#8217;re losing weight. You&#8217;re looking at the scale and feeling great. What a great diet! The pounds are flying off.</p>
<p>But after a few weeks, the weight loss comes to a grinding halt. You may even gain some weight on occasion. You get discouraged and ultimately decide that the diet isn&#8217;t working. Maybe you&#8217;ve even told yourself that you are genetically inclined to be overweight.</p>
<p>This is because people don&#8217;t know how weight loss really works. If you switch from a high carbohydrate diet to a high protein diet, you&#8217;re going to be losing some water. This is the early weight loss you are seeing. But it is NOT the kind of weight loss you are looking for.</p>
<p>You should be aiming for losing fat, not water. Losing fat takes a bit more effort, time and dedication. But it is exactly what you need to look better and feel healthier.
